I suffer from migraines and these really do help. I originally thought they were expensive compared to other options but I’m happy with these. My only complaint is I can’t wear these around people or in the office because they are so ugly, but I’m just so grateful that they help!First off, let me say, I am extremely skeptical person with an education and background in science and research. When I first found out about these glasses, I almost just skipped past it, expecting it to be some new "miracle cure" of the week that ends up being a waste of money. As a migraine sufferer, we see that all too often. Instead, I read the article, then followed up with reading the research behind these glasses. There isn't a lot of it yet, but what is out there is valid, clinical research in a controlled environment. So, combined with the money back guarantee, I felt it was worth taking a chance. Here's a little personal background about me. I'm including this for the sake of comparison. I've suffered from migraines now for over 30 years, starting when I was eight years old. As I age, now forty years old, the frequency has been increasing to the point where it is practically daily and the severity has increased to being debilitating. One of my worst triggers is fluorescent lighting. That's a guaranteed migraine every time I'm around them for more than a few minutes at a time. I've tried it all, prescription as well as over the counter, to try to find some relief. Everything has met with very little or no success and sometimes even making things worse. The only relief I have ever found is to stay in a dark room, and take strong, prescription pain medications, sometimes having to go to the hospital for a series of injections. I have been forced to stay indoors where I can control the lighting. I've had to give up any kind of hobbies that involved being away from home and can no longer even watch much television or use a computer because the lcd/led screens are also major triggers. That was before. Now, thanks to these glasses, everything has changed. The first moment I put them on, my eyes relaxed, noticeably. My first impression was one of hope. For the first time since the migraines started, I felt hopeful that something was actually going to help. There's a special feeling when you've suffered from something all your life, and the heartbreak of having treatment after treatment fail, then to finally have something give real relief. It's like having the weight of the world lifted off your shoulders.I am able to enjoy life more than I've been able to in years. They allow me to be under the dreaded fluorescent light for hours at a time without any ill effects. I can also look at lcd/led screens for longer periods of time so I can join my family for movie night again. The indoor model glasses are very well suited for indoor use. They are light enough that low light visibility isn't an issue. In fact, I even wear them while driving at night. It's much like the amber lenses in that it doesn't darken, but blocks out the glaring light that causes eye strain. Personally, I feel safer driving at night for that reason. They are not a cure, and I do still have migraines. The difference is, they have reduced the frequency by at least half, and the ones I do get are not, for the most part, nearly as severe. The glasses do make a major difference in the light sensitivity. I can still go on living during a migraine, so long as I keep the glasses on. I find myself needing less medication to deal with the pain, which is a nice bonus since they have side effects of their own. My wife has also said my overall mood has improved, and I have to agree with her. The only negative point is that, at $100, they are a bit pricey for tinted glasses, but that's nothing considering the relief these have given me. As an added bonus, the glasses cost less than a trip to the hospital for the injections I sometimes need. So, in that regard, they can be considered an investment.I use the model that fits over the prescription glasses, and they aren't as bulky as you may think. They are larger than I would usually buy, but not so much that they look bad. They're also very lightweight. I usually wear them about 12 hours a day and they are comfortable enough to forget I'm wearing them. The only part that takes a little getting used to is the color. At first, everything has a slight pink hue, but after a short time, you don't even realize it anymore. Then, at the end of the day, when you take them off, everything seems to have a green tint for a minute while your eyes readjust. Again, that's not even really a negative, just an oddity that I've noticed.I can't recommend these glasses strongly enough for those suffering from migraines. Simply put, they work and with their money back guarantee, you, quite literally, have nothing to lose. I know this review was rather lengthy, but I wanted to be as thorough as possible and hopefully, help others make an informed decision.Sadly, these don't do anything for my computer screen at all, but I'm able to at least use my phone on the highest blue light filter setting while wearing. The packaging says to wait 2 to 3 weeks to experience full results. It's been a month. The real kicker is that when I got my eyes examined by my eye doctor, he tested them for polarization and filtering (I didn't ask him to) and he said they aren't polarized, aren't anti glare, and aren't as effective at filtering light as they say. What's worse is that they were twice as expensive as a much nicer pair I tested at the doctors office. Needless to say, I'm pretty disappointed. They're not completely useless, since I can use my phone with these on. But forget using my computer or watching TV with my family. Some history:About a month ago, I went from having a migraine every few months or so, to having one almost EVERY DAY (aka chronic migraines) :( I'm now extremely photosensitive, which means almost all bright lights are problematic, including screens of any kind. Because I just landed my dream job working from home, I was hoping that these glasses might work wonders for me as they have for so many others in these reviews. I needed this miracle to hold on to thos fantastic opportunity I was given. After reading all of the reviews pretty much describing my exact predicament, I was ready to experience what some many others have. A guess a higher power had other plans for meMy boss installed three fluorescence light bulbs over my desk. I instantly got a migraine and became nauseous. I purchased these glasses and it is like a miracle! I can work without taking migraine medicine. I had to take pills every day all day for the past five years at my job. I can’t thank you enough!!These glasses have saved my new job and my sanity! For real!I have suffered with migraines and various headaches all of my life. About 5 years ago they got worse. I’ve had at least one kind of headache or another during my waking hours every day for what seemed like forever. I’ve been hospitalized for 7 days at a time TWICE with Migraines that mimic a stroke. I’ve lost jobs and had been miserable. I could never tell if my migraines and cluster headaches caused light sensitivity or if my photophobia caused the migraines and headaches. After trying these glasses I don’t care what came first. Chicken or egg – these glasses are stopping the vicious cycle I’ve been living. .I have literally only had one headache since after the first 48 hours after I started wearing them and that was when I had to drive for 3 hours at night and couldn’t really wear them.I am recommending these glasses for anyone who even thinks they have a light sensitivity that may be causing them issues. The price is so small compared to all of the medications and doctor visits you may have been having to endure and if they don’t work for you then you can return them.I am in the process of getting measurements for some prescription glasses to be made (you can go to their website and order glasses in prescription!!) I wear no line bifocals and the wear-over glasses are really good but I am betting the prescription glasses are going to be really cool. I plan on getting an indoor, outdoor, and night vision (special request) glasses and I am even going to get another pair without a prescription that I can wear with contacts. I can’t wait!Though are supposed to universal and to be worsen over your glasses, these did not fit completely over my glasses and were a little tight. If a man was to wear these they might be to tight I could feel right away the strain leaving my eyes. Also the amount of migraines decreased. I have had laser surgery to my retinas and they have helped in reducing the visual flares when I close my eyes at night. Will be getting this type of lens in my glasses.Bought these for my son, they've really improved his light sensitivity symptoms.A bit expensive but worth the price.Notice a difference as soon as I put on the glasses. My eyes will be happy.
